Massa�s grid penalty for gear box change to move Alonso up

Ferrari tactically open Massa´s gear box to move Alonso Up

Ferrari openly admitted their strategy to change the gear box Fillipe Massa who qualified 7th fastest to move up Alonso to the cleaner side of the grid from 8th to 7th. The move will help Alonso to start on the cleaner side of the track and get a perfect launch to the title fight as the new Austin track has lots of dirt on the non racing lines.

Earlier all drivers on the even grid numbers were concerened about starting on the dirty side of the track including Lewis Hamilton who starts P2.

Alonso is 10point behind Vettel on the championship table and this race could prove important on the points for damage limitation after the Ferrari´s lacklustre qualifying and just 2 races to go.

Controversy or not? Ferrari yet again proves that they can go anylenghts for the sake of championship.
